2014 saw KPS play host for the 4th consecutive year to almost 100 students and staff from surrounding schools as they participated in the Riverina Debating Workshops.
Professional tutors gave students a look at the skills involved in debating and tips/tricks for planning and presenting effective arguments. Nine Stage 3 students from KPS were lucky enough to be involved and all came away with great ideas, skills and increased confidence.
Many students tried out for the School Debating Team with four talented students being selected: Nathaniel Galvin, Eidlih Lucas, Isabella Mohr and Lachlan Wordsworth.
This team was very competitive in our zone competition, winning 3 out of their 4 debates. They showed great technique in their manner, method and matter. They worked extremely hard are were very unlucky not to make the zone final.
